Two classy wines up for tasting this weekend
January 10, 2013 by Mark
This Saturday, January 12, Long Island wine boutique Vine 2 Wine will be having a complimentary wine tasting and cheese pairing.
The tasting will feature two wines: the Bohigas Brut Reserva Cava NV and the Hayfork Lewelling Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon 2009. The Cava is a white sparkling wine from Spain, while the Cabernet is a bold yet fruity red that is 97% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and 3% Merlot.
For anyone looking to learn a little something about wines, this might be a good opportunity to get their feet wet. The owners of Vine 2 Wine are committed to putting forward interesting wines, often handcrafted and of small production. These vintages will be different from many of the highly-rated more popular wines that can be found easily at other stores.
The event begins at 3:00 pm and runs until 6:00 pm that evening. It is also free to attend. The store is located in Port Jefferson, New York, which is not too far a drive from areas like Brentwood, Commack, or Hicksville – although commuters should consider how they will get back home if they plan to drink.
Vine 2 Wine may want to try and get the word out about its tastings on ways other than the Internet. The boutique may hire print companies to try to promote these sort of events so that they can develop a greater client base. Print companies could produce flyers and other materials used for promotion. Vine 2 Wine may also need print companies to create informational brochures about the wines it is featuring. Such brochures would help to keep shoppers informed about the products in which they are interested.
