On Monday, June 4, the 21st annual Hicksville Community Golf Outing will be held at the Town of Oyster Bay Golf Course. The event will feature a $25,000 cash prize for the winner.
Entry to the main event is $215 with registration to begin at 11:30 am. There will be a barbecue, as well as the opportunity to practice on the driving range or putting green. The event starts at 1:00 pm and will be followed by a cocktail hour with an open bar, a buffet dinner, and the awards ceremony during dessert. Prizes will also be raffled off during the evening.
For those who cannot make the main event or are not golf enthusiasts, there is an option to attend the dinner only, the fee for which is $60. Anyone who is interested may also choose to sponsor the event by donating money. Donations of raffle prizes are also being accepted.
Additionally there will be a special event called the Hole #12 Circle Shootout, in which contestants will have an opportunity to double their money by competing. This benefit will also support the Hicksville Boys and Girls Club.
Local printing companies should be hard at work creating flyers to help promote this event. Banner printing companies may also be called on to create festive banners to draw the attention of those at the golf course and to highlight the event. The dinner caterers may also want to create business cards or postcards to promote themselves and to try to generate work for other events.
