Fair to provide vintage offerings

April 3, 2013 by

This weekend, Flamingo Eventz will be hosting the spring edition of the Long Island Vintage Book and Ephemera Fair.

Those who are interested in rare books and trinkets will be in for a treat, as the fair will house vintage booksellers from all over the region. Shoppers will find bargain prices on prints, maps, and rare or unusual books. There will also be book collectors on hand to answer any questions that shoppers might have. Bookbinding and restoration vendors will be available as well.

John Bruno, the star of the PBS show ‘Market Warriors’, will be doing special appraisals on Sunday, April 7, from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. He and his wife Tina are the owners of Flamingo Eventz, LLC. Both are members of the Antiques and Collectibles National Association (ACNA) and John has almost two decades worth of experience as an appraiser and TV show host.

The event will take place at the Garden City Field House in Garden City, New York. The fair runs from 11:00 am – 6:00 pm on both this Saturday and Sunday. There is a $6 admission fee for adults and a $3 fee for young people between the ages of 12 and 21.

Garden City is a short drive from towns like Mineola, New Hyde Park, and Hicksville. Flamingo Eventz may want to hire printing companies in the region to create flyers and other promotional materials that can be distributed to draw in more attendees, while vendors might want to get some digital business cards printed.
