The island welcomes the Pet Expo

February 15, 2012 by

On Saturday, March 3, and Sunday, March 4, 2012, Long Island will welcome this year’s Pet Expo at Suffolk Community College Expo Center located at 10001 Crooked Hill, Road (exit 53), in Brentwood, Long Island. The show will run Saturday from 10 am to 8 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm.

All under one roof, you will be able to see some of your favorite pets, but due to the large number of animals that will be in attendance the organizers have asked the public to please leave their pets at home. This showcase features all new K9 agility demonstrations, frisbee demonstrations, an education segment on caring for your dogs, a flyball demonstration, a parade of the various breeds, a rainforest reptile show, a rainforest rare and endangered special presentation, a birds of prey flight, Long Island pot-bellied pig viewing and care instructions, how to dance with your dog, an Alpaca area, and a farm petting zoo.

This is a great family outing and this year the organizers have discount coupons available to download from their website, which makes admission for the whole family a reasonable affair. This discount coupons save $3 on adult admission and $1 on the admission for children. Local printers have been running their presses full speed to ensure exhibitors have enough business cards and brochures available to hand out to the public. This is a great way to teach your children about animals and share some quality time with them.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $5 for children age 3 to 11, and children under 3 enter free.
