Passions run high in Hauppauge this weekend
May 25, 2012 by Mark
Soluna Studio will be presenting Love, Sex, and Zombies at its location, 659 Old Willets Path in Hauppauge, New York over the course of this weekend. This event will run tonight and tomorrow night at 8:00 pm and Sunday at 3:00 pm.
This evening performance consists of five original plays which will all be presented in the one evening performance. The play was written and directed by Long Island’s own Steve Strangio, a playwright. Along with this performance, there will be a festive dinner. Guests will see that this production has a good measure of comedy and drama, with a little bit of harrowing adventure thrown in as well.
In the play, Charity Valentine is the optimist who nobody can bring down. She works in a seedy ballroom and, after a long chain of bad relationships, thinks she has finally found Mr. Right. Throughout the relationship she hides her profession from her new partner, Oscar, and lets him believe she works in a bank. Only after their engagement does Oscar discover the truth and the day of the wedding he walks away. After being dumped and robbed, Charity continues to be the eternal optimist, hoping something promising will happen in her life.
Brochure printing and other stationery printing services have probably been prepared by local print companies. Admission to this performance is $40 per person, although $20 out of each ticket will be used towards the meal cost. For more information about this performance, visit the Soluna Studio website or call 631-708-9681.
