January 20, 2013 by James
The Hauppauge Swimming IMX Meet will take place at Hauppauge High School early next month and is open to all registered swimmers through the sanction of USA Swimming or Metropolitan Swimming, Inc.
Hauppauge High School has a 25-yard pool with six non-turbulent lanes, with the shallow end at four feet and the deepest end at 12 feet.
The event will include timed finals, along with a deck seeded meet. Warm-ups will take place daily and will be scheduled according to age group. Swimmers are allowed to compete in a maximum of five events per day in timed finals.
In accordance with set policies via Metro Swimming, Inc., coaches must display valid USA credentials to participate in coaching capacity. At time of check-in, all coaches will be given scratch sheets to be used for each session. They must be completed no later than 30 minutes before the session starts.
Awards for each age group will include medals 1-3, ribbons 4-6, and IMX high point awards.
Printing companies are often asked to provide print services for athletic events. In addition to printed forms needed to support the event, promotional materials are frequently ordered. Banner printing is a key component for most athletic events, as the banners are hung in designated areas for event demarcation purposes, as well as managing traffic flow.
The event team encourages swimmers with disabilities to participate or attend. The meet director can provide special information and considerations.
