Celebrate Groucho this July

On Saturday, July 7, Soluna Studio is presenting “Groucho, A Life in Revue” at the Soluna Studio located at 659 Old Willets Path in Hauppauge, New York. This performance begins at 8:00 pm.

Groucho Marx was adored by many people and became a legend in the Comedy world. This performance tells the story of his life from his humble beginning, through the Vaudeville era, and shares some of the more famous moments in the Marx Bros Famous movies.

The audience will enjoy reliving hilarious scenes from “You Bet Your Life” as the show chronicles Groucho’s life and accomplishments all the way through to the age of 85. This is a true peek into the life of this legend including his insecurities, his stormy relationships, the women who came and went from his life, and a vast collection of his songs including Lydia, Captain Spaulding, Hello, I Must be Going, and many more.

The play was written by Robert Fischer and Arthur Marx. Copyrighted material from Animal Crackers and Cocoanuts, written by George S. Kaufman and Morrie Ryskind, has been used with permission by Samuel French Incl. The cast includes Steven Gianturco as Groucho Marx, Mike MdKasty as Harpo Marx, Joe Gelish as Chico Marx, and Kerry Quirke and Margaret Dumont as Groucho’s wives. This hit show sold out in 2011 but it is now back.
