Great Neck Chamber is finishing up the month strong

The Great Neck Chamber of Commerce has at least a couple of events taking place this month that local professionals should have more than a passing interest in.

It all begins with an early morning breakfast that will feature Thomas P. Dinapoli, New York State Comptroller. What’s the topic? “Update on Albany: Increased Transparency and Accountability, Including Audits, Proposed Reforms, and the State Pension Fund and It’s Investments”.

Already well recognized for his efforts in bringing financial accountability to government, Mr. Dinapoli will be covering a rather complicated subject that’s of importance to all members of the business community. As the one who audits various government agencies while managing such areas as the state’s pension funds and other benefits, it goes without saying that Mr. Dinapoli will be speaking from personal experience.

This breakfast is taking place February 16th at the Inn at Great Neck. With a running cost of $16 per ticket along with an additional $1 to be a part of the raffle, this is an event local entrepreneurs may want to attend.

Another date that’s worth considering is the Great Neck Chamber of Commerce Networking event on the 28th. Also taking place in the evening from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, members of the business community are encouraged to arrive with business card printing and a taste for great food. With the price being a mere $20, Great Neck professionals have nothing to lose by coming to Miraku at the end of the month.
