The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Stony Brook University is continuing its spring workshops this April. The organization’s spring workshops schedule began in February and continues until May.

One ongoing series presented by the SBDC is ‘Internet Solutions for Small Business’, which consists of four workshops: ‘Designing your website’ to be held on April 11; ‘E-commerce’ on April 17; ‘Social media and email marketing’ on May 9; and ‘Business on the go: mobile apps and email marketing’, which will end the series on May 23.

Another upcoming workshop in the spring workshops calendar, which will be suitable for those just starting a business, is ‘Business basics’ – a free workshop that will take place at the Middle County Library on April 17 from 9:00 am – 11:00 am.

Organizations like the SBDC are indispensable to small business owners as they offer low-cost training for businesspersons on topics that keep them in the loop on the latest trends in business, thereby helping them to run their businesses more efficiently and effectively.

No doubt some of these workshops will attract attendees from all over the area, including nearby Glen Cove. The SBDC will likely be working with local printing companies to help market the services it provides by way of products such as flyers, brochures and booklets

The Internet Solutions for Small Business workshops are to be held at the Small Business Development Center. Each workshop has a fee to participate, for more information call 631-632-9837.
