With summer is in full swing, communities throughout New York State are holding outdoor festivals and celebrations. The Glen Cove area is no different will present a returning festival and an ongoing summer music event next month.

The Morgan Park Summer Music Festival takes place every Sunday until the end of August. It is the 54th season of the free festival. Upcoming concerts include the Nassau Pops Symphony Orchestra, Pastures of Plenty (a tribute to Woody Guthrie), a Tribute to Barbra Streisand, and a Tribute to Neil Diamond. Guests are encouraged to bring their own blankets, chairs, and food. This is an event to enjoy with the family or a great opportunity to meet and get to know neighbors while enjoying some music.
It will take place every Sunday in the month beginning at 7:30 pm. For more information, call 516-671-0017.

Also in August, the 84th St. Rocco’s Feast festival is taking place for three days. It will raise funds to help local students with scholarships and provide the less fortunate with help to afford such necessities as food and clothing. The feast will feature lots of food, games, music from artists such as Beatle Juice and Gian Faraone, beer, wine, and a raffle prize of $5,000.

St. Rocco’s Feast will take place in the St. Rocco’s parking lot in Malden from August 9-11. For more information about the events, call 516-676-2482.

Organizers of both events have no doubt contacted printing companies in the Glen Cove area to help them prepare.
