NYC Recruiting to have January 17th meet-up

The New York Recruiting Meetup has an evening meeting planned for January 17th.

New York City Recruiting is going to be holding its January event on the 17th. Starting in the evening at 6:00 pm, this month’s gathering will be hosted at STOUT NYC on 33rd Street. While attendees are expected to pay $10.00 each, this is an expense that will cover the cost of appetizers.

While the agenda shows that there’s at least a good hour and a half of time that will be spent on mingling and networking, NYC Recruiting also has three speakers booked for this evening:

“Jeff Pearce of LivingSocial, Ron Mitchell, CEO of CareerCore, and Alex Tuttle, research analyst for Vault”.

The recruiting-related topics that are normally covered at these meet-ups range from marketing and sales to management and recruiting. As such, the professionals at these events could plausibly find themselves talking about catalog printing one month and then discussing the best ways of utilizing brochure printers and digital business cards the next.

Interestingly enough, organizers view these events as a way for entrepreneurs and other professionals to:

“Meet other local recruiters, HR professionals, members, and hiring managers. Discuss topics including recruiting tactics, eRecruitment, social media, web 2.0/recruitment 2.0, talent management, best & next practices, and building business relationships.

Corporate talent acquisition practitioners are especially encouraged to join to share your front line experience…”

With Glen Cove situated roughly 30 miles away from New York, local professionals can’t go wrong stopping by. Since 69 businesspeople have already registered, however, prospective attendees will need to sign up quickly.
