New annual party will raise funds to fulfill children’s wishes

The 1st annual Marty Gras cocktail party will be taking place next month in Bayville. It will be a fundraiser for the Marty Lyons Foundation, which grants wishes to seriously or terminally ill children between the ages of 3 and 17.

The inaugural event will feature a Creole buffet, an open bar, and live music, which will make it feel like the party is taking place in New Orleans. It should be a great way to celebrate while raising funds for an important organization.

The Marty Lyons Foundation was created in 1982 by a former professional football player after a friend’s child was diagnosed with a serious illness. The foundation has nine chapters throughout the United States, which hold a variety of events all year long to raise money to support the organization.

The party will likely attract people from all over the area, including nearby Glen Cove. Local printing companies are often asked to help advertise such events by providing products like flyers and posters. Those items can then be distributed in several ways.

The party is being held at the Crescent Beach Club in Bayville on March 8, beginning at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $100 each. To learn more about the event, or about the Marty Lyons Foundation, contact Eileen Mayer at 631-834-7035.
