Mother’s Day is coming up in May, and those looking for that perfect gift are sure to find that Glen Cove will come to their rescue, offering a couple of places to shop for the sort of unique, handmade items sure to please anyone.

First of all, the K.A. Deasy School PTA’s 3rd annual Shopping Expo is taking place on Friday, May 3. It will feature a wide variety of vendors, including those selling jewelry, arts and crafts, and dolls clothes. There will also be direct marketing products from companies like Avon and Pampered Chef for sale. In addition, there will be raffles from several vendors and free snacks for all. Proceeds go to support the PTA.

There is no charge to attend the expo, which takes place from 5:30 pm – 10:00 pm, and those looking for more info may call call 516-801-7001.

Just over a week later, on May 11, the 7th annual Senior Recognition Day will take place the in Downtown Village Square. Also free to attend, there will be plenty of vendors on hand, as well as information from local organizations related to senior care and topics.

More information on this one, as well as how to become a vendor, can be obtained by calling Mary Stanco at 516-351-6336.

No doubt many of the organizations who wish to provide information to seniors will be working with Glen Cove brochure printers, which will allow seniors to take home the information for later use.
