Queens dance company celebrates double figures

Green Space Blooms: the 10th anniversary Queens Celebration of Dance is about to take place, presenting four performances.

There will be dance performances created by 22 choreographers, as well as resident Green Space company Valerie Green/Dance Entropy. Some of the other groups performing are Inclined Dance Projects, Drastic Action, and Emily Berry.

Most of the shows will take place at night, but there is a family friendly matinee performance on March 31. Spring Blooms will take place at 11:00 AM and will feature Valerie Green/Dance Entropy, Trina Mannino, and Aimee Plauche. Tickets cost $17.

Those who want to make a donation to Green Space can purchase tickets for the performance and participate in a champagne toast before the show begins, for which tickets are $47.

There is also set to be a post-performance party after each night time performance, which will be curated by the Open Music Ensemble.

This is an important artistic space in Queens and it will likely attract dance fans from all over the borough, including Forest Hills. Local print companies often provide items such as printed invitations that are mailed out.

Green Space Blooms will take place at Green Space from March 30 to April 2, and evening performances begin at 8:00 PM. Tickets are $17 in advance or $20 at the door. Visit Green Space’s website for more details.
