NY Open Business to hold first meeting January 26th
January 14, 2012 by Mark
A recently formed New York-based networking group will be holding its first event on the 26th of January.
New York City’s Think Coffee will be the location of New York Open Business’s initial meeting. Starting at 6:30 pm, the venue is less than 12 miles away from Forest Hills. Since organizers are already expecting a turnout of at least 47 business owners and professionals, attendees will want to arrive with a good supply of business card printing in hand. In light of the fact that this looks to be a more relaxed and informal setting however, full-on flyer printing and brochures probably won’t be necessary.
As for the group’s overall objectives, the site had this to say:
“NY Open Business’s mission is to make starting, operating and building companies in New York City a whole lot easier by using a hands on communal approach. NYOB members get together to help and learn from each other and in some cases work together. We use the groups’s combined brain power to bypass challenges we each face at some point. We’ll workshop problems, share solutions… and actively figure out how to improve what we’re doing. This is a working group for business owners, start ups, online retailers, sole proprietors…” (sic.)
Apparently this message is resonating with professionals. Founded originally on January 4th, New York Open Business’s membership is already sitting at a very impressive 83. At this stage, there’s no denying the fact that this networking group is off to a blistering start.
