Columbus Weekend to blaze brightly in Farmingdale

September 22, 2013 by

The Farmingdale Fire Department will once again host the Columbus Weekend early next month. Festivities will include a carnival, a parade, a street fair on Main Street, and merchant activities and special promotions throughout the weekend.

The event welcomes the fall months into the area with family fun for everyone. Stores and restaurants along Main Street offer unique special sales, promotions, and fun for all.
Carnival rides will be part of the fun throughout the four-day event, and arts and crafts will be available with many vendor participants during this free-to-attend event.

Print companies are usually involved in preparing marketing materials for events of this type. Banner printing is a common request, and allows organizers to place professional printing pieces throughout the region in advance of the event. The banners can also be used within the event, either as directional signage or in the vendor booths.

The event will take place on Main Street beginning October 10-14. The Street Fair is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, October 12-13 while the parade will be on Sunday beginning at 5:00 pm. The band will play at 6:00 pm and the fireworks show will kick off at 10:00 pm.

Many leaders in the Farmingdale community participate in this event, assisting the Farmingdale Fire Department to ensure a memorable experience for residents and visitors. Activities take place throughout the period, presenting families with an opportunity to join together with friends and neighbors to enjoy the city’s event.
