Annual Pasta Night to benefit Gift of Sight

Farmingdale residents are no doubt looking forward to attending the Annual Pasta Night event planned for next weekend. The benefit fundraiser for Gift of Sight organization will take place in neighboring Hempstead at the Pompeii Restaurant and is being hosted by the Cellini Lodge, #2206, OSIA.

The cost is $35 per person, which will include the pasta dinner, beverage, and dessert. A cash bar is available and a performance by the New York Ratpack will take place in addition to prize raffles.

Founded in 1968, the Cellini Lodge members support many civic and community programs as well as local charities. Working together, the volunteers raise funds through various events and activities.

In addition to charitable campaigns, the Cellini Lodge manages a scholarship program which assists children of the Lodge members, as well as students from local high schools.

Groups within the Cellini Lodge include senior citizens, youth, a committee for culture and heritage and a bowling league. The Lodge represents the true image of the Italian-American community resident, exemplifying a solid and respected reputation and status in the community.

The charity sponsored via the Annual Pasta Night is the Gift of Sight organization, whose mission is to provide reading glasses globally to needy people with no access to the eye care provisions.

Local printing companies frequently work together with benefactors in providing print services, including flyer and poster printing to promote upcoming events. Banner printing is also a common project as banners can be placed throughout a region to draw attention and increase interest in activities.

The event is scheduled for January 18 beginning at 7:00 pm. For more information visit the event website or call 516-485-7011.
