Ice Wine Festival date frozen into February

The 6th Annual New York Ice Wine and Culinary Festival will take place at Casa Larga Vineyards on Turk Hill Road in Fairport in February. The event celebrates the award-winning Ice Wines in New York, while highlighting home-grown grapes in festival tradition.

The festival includes culinary creations from local chefs and eateries. Additionally, attendees can taste and purchase the wines cultivated in the many growing regions across the state.

Several demonstrations will take place during the day, including those of wine accessories and food displays. Seminars will also be available during the event; ‘Sipping with Sweet and Savory’ will be presented by Lorraine Hems, a certified sommelier, and will provide pairing tips. Hams will use samples from RIT Brick City Catering, along with Casa Larga Wines.

The next presentation will be ‘Germany to New York, Ice Wine will Travel’, presented by Holly Howell, also a certified sommelier. Discussion of wine and the German Connection will be the focus of her seminar.

Frequently, banner printing is part of the preparation for these types of events. Banners are used for such purposes as directing traffic into designated parking areas, as well as for guiding attendees to various parts of the event.

Many sponsors will participate in the event, including Canandaigua National Bank and Trust, Eastview, Brick City Catering, and Tim Horton’s Cake and Bake Shop.

The festival will be held on February 15 from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm. Tickets are on sale via the event website.
