Ice cool times ahead in Fairport

The 6th Annual New York Ice Wine and Culinary Festival will present award-winning Ice Wines as part of a mid-winter celebration. With its emphasis on keeping things local, eligible wines must be produced in New York State using state-grown grapes.

The opportunity is presented at the festival to sample wines, along with special treats infused with Ice Wine. The event brings all of the finest wines from throughout many regions in the state to one central location.

Tasting stations will be part of the day’s attractions, offering wine and food tastings from local restaurants. Wine demonstrations will take place throughout the day, and are included in the admission ticket. Meat dishes, desserts, and salads will be among the wine-infused offerings available at the event.

Seminars will be offered at the festival, along with wine-related accessory demonstrations. Topics include ‘Sipping with Sweet and Savory’, ‘Germany to New York, Ice Wine will Travel’, and ‘Ice Wine Rules’.

Poster printing is usually a standard procedure for local print companies when a festival like this one is in the planning stages. Posters can be mounted throughout a region to attract attention and increase attendance.

The event has been confirmed to be taking place on February 15 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm at the Casa Larga Vineyards on Turk Hill Road in Fairport.

Presale tickets are now on sale through December 31 at the price of $55 per person. Beginning January 1, the ticket price will increase to $65 each.
