Family Holiday Concert scheduled in Fairport
December 6, 2012 by Mark
A Family Holiday Concert featuring the Perinton Concert Band has been scheduled at Fairport’s Minerva DeLand School auditorium and is now just over a week away. The school is located at 140 Hulbert Road. The Perinton Recreation and Parks Department sponsors the concert, which is presented free to the public.
Holiday classics including Jingle Bells, Sleigh Ride, Feliz Navidad, and O Tannenbaum will be included in the performance. Additionally, John Stuart, vocal soloist from the band’s trombone section, will sing ‘White Christmas’ – an Irving Berlin classic.
Children attending the performance will take delight in a visit from Santa Claus at the conclusion of the program. Santa’s stop by can only add to the festivity of the season.
Many concerts and performances take place during the holiday season. To promote these types of events, organizers often use printing companies to provide services such as flyer and poster printing. Flyers are easily distributed in advance of the event, either through direct hand-outs or through related outlets. Posters are generally printed in large quantities in full color. They are mounted on doors, walls, and windows to attract attention and create awareness, along with interest of the specific event.
Catalog printing is also a common project in the build-up to concerts. Catalogs list the itinerary, the names of the performers, and their history and credentials. Catalogs also recognize the sponsors, usually with the sponsor logo and a brief paragraph about the business or person.
