Fairport gets crafty for good reason

October 23, 2013 by

The YMCA Eastside, located on Fairport Nine Mile Point Rd, will host the 4th Annual Crafts for a Cause Holiday Craft Fair, which is free to the public. Raffles, door prizes, and vendor concessions will be available throughout the event.

The craft show provides a great holiday shopping opportunity, with proceeds supporting the Y’s Invest in Youth Campaign. The program provides families in need with an experience to participate in summer camp, preschool programs, swimming lessons, and membership.

Vendor applications are being accepted through the YMCA, and vendors will work with local printing companies in ordering supplies needed for a booth. They must list all items they will be selling so the event organizers can assign the booth locations appropriately. Items must hand-made and cannot be “buy sell” offerings. Five images of the crafts intended to present at the show must be emailed to the organizers in advance.

Banner printing companies can provide the vendors with signage for their booths. Banners are created using heavy vinyl and can either have text and graphics printed on the material or lettering can be used. If a vendor uses the same banner in various vendor events, the printed banner can be reused without change, making them a cost effective option.

The 4th Annual Crafts for a Cause Holiday Craft Fair will take place on Saturday, December 7 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. For more information and for a vendor application, visit the Rochester YMCA 2013 Eastside Crafts website.
