Celebrating Cinco de Mayo in Fairport

April 25, 2013 by

The New York Fairport Partnership for a Better Community will present the ‘Cinco de Mayo’ on at the start of next month at Eagle Vale.

Along with fabulous Mexican food, live music will take place, including Sofrito Latin Jazz (accompanied by a DJ) and Zumba Latin dance sessions. There will be silent and live auctions as well.

Attendees are encouraged to come in festive attire, such as wearing ponchos or sombreros, although this is optional rather than compulsory. Tickets are $50 per person or $90 per couple.

A non-profit group, Fairport Village Partnership works to stimulate growth in the village while preserving the area’s heritage. The entity also works to promote community activities and provides a full calendar of various activities.

On many occasions, entities that coordinate outdoor activities will use a print company to produce needed materials. Banner printing is a standard order, as banners are used to direct attention and traffic at most events of this nature.

The organization works to strengthen local businesses, while also striving to promote Fairport as a wonderful place to live with work opportunities. It has been instrumental in enhancing the downtown business district in appearance.

Continuing the efforts of the Fairport Village Partnership, the Cinco de Mayo event is expected to attract many participants and visitors, thus bringing new revenues to the area while presenting a community gathering for the residents.

Festivities will begin at 6:30 pm on May 3, with cocktails and dinner to follow at 7:30 pm.
