Piano and the Easter Bunny to visit Elmsford communities

March 21, 2013 by

A four-way piano performance could be a tuneful way to see in the weekend at the Music Conservatory of Westchester.

Two accomplished pianists from the conservatory (Svetlana Gorokhovich and Irena Portenko) will go up against two world-renowned players of the instrument (Kikuo Watanabe and Etsuko Terada) in a recital sure to be remembered for a long time.

Starting at 6:30 pm tomorrow, March 22, admission is free to the event at the White Plains venue, which is only minutes from Elmsford. Donations are accepted. For more information, call (914) 761-3900.

Another possible cause for a promotional flyer printing order or two comes the following day, as Elmsford recreation department invites children aged 2 – 10 to bring their parents to the annual ‘Breakfast with the Easter Bunny’ from 8:30 am – 11:30 am. Crafts and pictures with the bunny will be available while waiting for breakfast, and registration is not necessary.

Each child will have an opportunity to win an Easter basket, with winners announced every 30 minutes. Breakfast items includes bagels, Danishes, coffee, and juice. Live entertainment provided by the Lagond Music School.

If that hasn’t worn the kids out, there will be a spring celebration and egg hunt for them from 11:00 pm – 3:00 pm next Saturday, March 30, at the Greenburgh Nature Center, 99 Dromore Road in Scarsdale.

Admission is $5 for members and $10 for nonmembers in advance, or $7 and $12 on the day, and activities will run throughout.
