Lots of options for Elmsford entrepreneurs

Whether looking for networking opportunities or information-packed seminars, Elmsford professionals can take their pick in the next couple of weeks.

As a starting point, the Business Council of Westchester is hosting a networking event through Business After Business. Taking place at Yonkers’ Empire City Casino at the Yonkers Raceway January 31st, the flyer printing is advising people to “arrive in style” with a start time of 5:30 pm.

Featuring a racing program, food, and plenty of entertainment, this event will allow professionals to interact with one another in a more informal setting. With members paying $30 and non-members $40, it’s worth pointing out that this is a reasonably priced meet-up as well.

Following this up is an event where location doesn’t matter. Marc Karell of Climate Change & Environmental Services, LLC will be hosting a webinar called “Financial Benefits of Going Green” on February 9th. This online event is being summarized as follows:

“It has been documented that a number of large and small businesses have begun the journey to be “greener,” and have not only achieved “green” success, but also gained direct bottomline monetary benefits.

In this webinar, you will learn some of the basics of climate change, the 9 purely business reasons to go “green,” and prudent initial steps in establishing a program that have been shown to better ensure success and maximum financial benefits in reducing one’s carbon footprint.” (sic.)

Free of charge and scheduled to go from noon until 1:00pm, business owners can listen in during lunch.

Online registration’s only open until the 27th, however, so professionals will need to sign up soon.
