Adults like to dress up for Halloween too, and have the perfect opportunity to do so at the ‘Thriller Night Halloween Costume Bash’ taking place this evening.
The event begins at 7:00 pm at the Tosca Café, 4038 East Tremont Avenue in New York. Admission is free. For more information, text (872) 228-7526.
As well as this, volunteers are needed for the upcoming Bronx NY Brides against Breast Cancer, which will be held on Friday, November 1 and Saturday, November 2, at the Pelham Bay and Split Rock Golf Course.
Brides will have an opportunity to be able to purchase a wedding gown at discounted prices from a large selection brought to the golf course. A gown unveiling reception will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, with the general sale beginning at 10:00 am and ending at 4:00 pm on Saturday.
Volunteers are needed for both days and can sign up for multiple shifts in such areas as registration, greeters, dressing room assistants, personal shoppers, and fill-ins.
The program raised funds for cancer patients and their families and educates the public about cancer through the gown sales.
Guests should check in five minutes prior to shift time and wear business attire, and are advised that no jeans or tennis shoes allowed.
The golf course is located at 870 Shore Road in Bronx, 20 minutes from Elmsford. Once the gown is purchased, brides-to-be can get their wedding invitations printed at a stationery printer.
