Elmsford Brewing Company receives top awards

November 10, 2012 by

The Captain Lawrence Brewing Company of Elmsford, New York, received several awards for its brews at October’s Great American Beer Festival in Denver. The company is likely to be a range of printing services to make this announcement to the public so as to attract more customers to try the brews.

The brewery picked up a gold medal in the category of Sour Ale of the American Style for its Barrel Select Gold, a silver medal for its Barrel Select French Oak Bret Brown, and a bronze medal for its Golden Delicious in other categories. These beers were selected from the 3,000 types of beers that 700 breweries from around the country entered into the festival. Medals were given to the top three beers in 75 style categories.

Since moving to Elmsford, the brewery has also received awards from the Imperial IPA in the 2012 TAP New York Craft Beer and Fine Food Festival.

Scott Vaccaro, owner of The Captain Lawrence Brewing Company, said he was very proud to receive the awards. He considers brewing to be like fine cooking and should be enjoyed to its fullest potential. Although he is happy to have taken the accolades, his goal in brewing these beers is for them to be enjoyed and not to win prizes.

Vaccaro has been in business for six years, having started the Brewery in Pleasantville. He moved it to Elmsford a year ago to increase product manufacturing. He also partners with other local businesses at various events to increase his business.
