Library series takes another look at presidents

October 8, 2012 by

Whether an individual is looking for thoughtful discussion or is instead hoping for a chance to appreciate and show support for local artistic talent, it looks like East Northport residents have no shortage of opportunities at their disposal over the course of this month.

The first of these events is going to be none other than a continuation of the fascinating ‘At the Library’ series. This time around, the Northport-East Northport Public Library will be hosting several discussions led by Hofstra University History Professor Michael D’Innoncenzo. With the elections coming up and the recently held presidential debates still fresh on everyone’s minds, a topic like ‘How Do We Rate the American Presidents?’ is sure to generate some lively conversation.

For those who were not able to attend the discussion that was held on yesterday, October 7, it is worth noting that there are additional talks taking place on October 12 and 19. Free to attend and taking place in the morning at 10:00 am, this is an informative series that East Northport residents are sure to enjoy.

In the meantime, local printing companies have undoubtedly been busy providing such printing services as poster printing and flyer printing in line with Carl Hom’s ‘Grimm’ being showcased for the month through FRESH Art Long Island. If the exhibit’s title is anything to go by, it is clear that there is a consistent theme to be seen within this showcase.

Already well-known within the community as a businessman, it appears that Carl has successfully managed to share his creative side through art.
