Late chance to see Peter Rabbit on stage
March 28, 2013 by Mark
Peter Rabbit and his friends, Flopsy, Mopsy, the McGregors and Benjamin Bunny have come alive on stage at Theatre Three in Port Jefferson.
The beloved tale by Beatrix Potter, ‘The Adventures of Peter Rabbit’, follows the bunny as he gets into trouble in McGregor’s garden and finds love with his mom and sisters.
Tickets are $10 each, but the final showing is this Saturday, March 30. For times, call the theater at (631) 928-9100. It is located at 412 Main Street, Port Jefferson, less than half an hour from East Northport.
Alternatively, kids will no doubt love going to the Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary and Audubon Center for its annual ‘Egg-stravaganza’ this Saturday. Children will be able to create their own Easter baskets in which to collect eggs.
Toddlers are welcome at the first session from 10:30 am – 11:30 pm, and children ages 4 – 10 years will have two sessions: 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm. Admission is $8 for nonmember children and $5 for member children. For reservations, call the Oyster Bay-based sanctuary at (516) 922-3200.
Weather permitting, Northport Village Park is set to hold its Easter event at 1:00 pm on Easter Sunday, March 31, giving locals yet another option to enjoy. Admission to this event is free. The park is located at Bayview Avenue and Main Street in Northport. Local print companies will be able to offer suggestions on creating kid-centric activities that can be printed ahead of time to ensure that little ones are kept occupied
