NYCE offers a good cause for cocktails

The New York City Explorers Group (NYCE) is holding the ‘Cocktails that Care’ event this March to raise funds for NYCE Cares. The goal for this year is to raise $7,000 to help fund the Week of the Young Child in Jamaica, which takes place this coming April.
NYCE is a child care organization that provides programs such as daycare, after school programs, summer camps, in-home child care, and has play spaces for children. It is mainly dedicated to providing programs for children between the ages of 2 and 10. The group also raises funds to help various children’s charities throughout the world.
Cocktails that Care will feature a silent auction, local food, craft beer, specialty drinks, and desserts. There will also be a special audio screening featuring NYCE co-founder Kisha Edwards-Gandsy. It sounds like it will be a fun night and will raise much needed funds for a very worthwhile cause.
Brooklyn companies are very likely to be called upon to donate items for the silent auction. They will also no doubt be relying on local printing companies to provide them with necessary items such as tickets, invitations, and marketing materials. For example, sending out a flyer to the general community would probably result in more interest in the cocktail party and a better chance that NYCE will meet its fund raising goals.
Cocktails that Care will take place the New York City Explorers Group headquarters on March 1 from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Tickets are $25. To find out more call, 718-399-6923.
