Children’s Fall Festival wraps up the spooky season
October 3, 2016 by Max
Queens County Farm Museum will be hosting its annual Children’s Fall Festival at the end of October. Everyone will be invited to wear Halloween costumes for one last time.
The event will have kids’ games, bounce houses, kids’ crafts at the ConEdison’s Ecology booth, and live musical entertainment by the country band Savannah Sky. Halloween characters will be roaming through the event and will gladly pose for pictures with guests, perhaps making interesting subjects for future poster printing, postcard printing, or Halloween holiday cards for next year. Entrance to the pig races is also included in the admission tickets.
There will be pony rides and a petting zoo, and this will be the last day for the Amazing Maize. The Maize begins with a ‘Stalk Talk’ which explains how to solve the puzzles and find the clues to get out of the maze. The theme this year is ‘The Big Apple’.
This will also be the last day for the Pumpkin Patch. Prices for each pumpkin will be determined by the size of the one selected.
The Haunted House will be open for the last time. Here, Bellerose children and their families can enjoy the house along with Halloween treats, hayrides, and mulled cider.
The fun is scheduled for October 30 from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm.
