Business event to get serious later this year

August 30, 2013 by

The ‘Hatchery – Are You Serious?’ event will take place in just over a month at the Alley (Hatchery 500) in New York, less than 45 minutes from Bellerose. This public event offers a business networking opportunity for entrepreneurs, technology professionals, and investors.

The purpose of the day is to offer a purely honest opinion about a startup company. Professional opinions will cover finance, sales, presentation, marketing technology, and other business facets.

The event is now five years old and has proved to provide guidance for companies looking for investors for start-up funding. The investors offer unbiased, experienced, and honest opinions at this fast-pitch gathering.

The process includes the requirement for an interested person to RSVP attendance. It is recommended that people planning to participate attend a prior event to understand how the format works.

It takes place in the form of a five-minute time slot for an entrepreneur pitch and then a five-minute critique by the panel. There will not be a question-and-answer session during the pitch segment.

Participants will likely contact a local print company to order materials needed for their pitches, such as business card printing . It behooves participants to come prepared and present a professional appearance, and almost all companies use business cards for introductory purposes, as well as follow-up contact.

The Hatchery event will take place on October 16 with the doors opening at 6:00 pm. Advance ticket price is $10.00, or is $20.00 if purchased at the door. Food and drink will be available. For more information, visit the event’s website.
