Bohemian National Hall to host Valentine’s Day Dance Party

February 1, 2013 by

This Valentine’s Day, the Bohemian National Hall in New York City invites locals to enjoy the 20-piece Bensen-Scott Big Band. Attendees are encouraged to wear something red and put on their best dancing shoes for this gala event, which will no doubt draw people in from surrounding neighborhoods, including Bohemia, Merrick and Long Beach.

The event is organized by the Association of Free Czechoslovak Sportsmen and co-sponsored by the Bohemian Benevolent & Literary Association in coordination with Lights ‘n’ Stage. Dance instructor Blanka Stichova will be on hand to teach dance tricks and give personalized tips to ensure everyone is happily dancing the night away. Stichova studied with some of the best dancers in the business, including European Champions and Will Villegas – two-time salsa dance World Champion. She has appeared in several movies and takes private lessons with Val and Maksim Chmerkovsky, dancing pros from the popular Dancing with the Stars television show.

Flyer printing for events such as this is an effective method to promote and encourage attendance. Flyers are posted throughout a region, as well as distributed from various entities and at the door. They also make a nice souvenir for those attending the event.

The meet and greet reception will take place from 7:00 pm – 7:30 pm on February 14, with the dance festivities beginning at 7:30 pm for the rest of the evening. Tickets may be purchased online through the Bohemian National Hall website or at the box office.
