Big Band bangs the drum for New Year in New York

December 5, 2013 by

The Edison Ballroom in New York will light up with big band sound in a few weeks, as the New Year’s Eve celebration kicks off.

Joe Battaglia and the New York Big Band will be performing for visitors from across the surrounding communities, including Bellerose, Queens, and Bohemia.

Battaglia has performed with icons across the world, including Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and Shirley Bassey. The group has performed regularly for 15 years, and its accompanying orchestra consists of a 16-piece band along with vocalists.

An added highlight to the New Year’s Eve Show is a performance by Direct Latin Influence (DLI), brining a touch of romantic Latin sound to ballroom.

The celebration will include a special dinner prepared by Mina Newman; a renowned chef. Presenting salad, appetizers, a main course and dessert, the meal is likely to be a big part of a memorable experience.

Catalog printing is a common project for local print companies for special performances or events like this. A catalog can serve as a program highlighting details about the venue, the performance, and the sponsors. Additionally, catalogs serve as a great souvenir for attendees and can be highly collectible.

For those looking for an elegant way to see in 2014, the event will begin at 8:00 pm on December 31 and continues until 2:00 am after ringing in the New Year. Those interested should peruse the event’s website for more details and to reserve tickets.
