Bellerose youngsters to hop over to barnyard egg hunt

April 12, 2017 by

Spring is here, and to celebrate, Bellerose little ones from ages two to twelve will be scrambling for eggs in an old fashion egg hunt this Easter.

Kids are invited to bring their own baskets and attend one of the egg hunts that will be going on in the venue’s orchard. The hunts will continue throughout the day, and will be divided into two areas: adult chaperones and children ages two to four will hunt in one area, and kids ages five to twelve will hunt in the other.

In addition to the hunts, children will enjoy traditional egg rolling and egg tossing games, go on a hay ride, and visit the farm animals. Food for the animals and the humans will be available. Kids can also go to the petting zoo, enjoy pony rides, and have their faces painted to look like bunnies. They can also join in making crafts and playing traditional children’s games.

Whiskers the Easter Bunny will be meeting and greeting children. He will be available for pictures. Parents can use these pictures for holiday cards and also have them made into calendars.

The Barnyard Egg Hunt will be at the Queens County Farm Museum, 73-50 Little Neck Parkway, Floral Park this Saturday, April 15, from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm. Advance tickets are required.
