Santa fun run is coming to town

October 29, 2016 by

Wall Township residents are invited to don a Santa suit and run or walk to make the holidays a little bit cheerier to those in their local area in need of support

The very first Asbury Park Santa run will see hundreds of participants dress up in a traditional red suit and run, walk, or simply stroll through a five-kilometer route along the community’s streets. Each person who takes part will receive a free Santa suit and koozie when they register, and after the run, there will also be a post-event party with drink specials, live music, food, and more. A company that provides printing services will be able to supply everything, from banners to registration sheets, decorations, and other items that can help to make a day like this a success.

The organizers have issued a challenge to everyone who signs up to raise at least $300. The goal is to collect at least $100,000 in total, with the monies raised going to the not for profit group Lunch Break! This organization provides food, clothing, and support to those in need, and strives to do so with dignity and compassion.

Registration fees for the event, which will be held on December 10 in Bradley Park, are $40 each, and people are encouraged to either take part on their own or form a team for even more fun. An opportunity to register is available on the Asbury Park Santa Run’s Eventbrite listing.
