Three chances ahead for Somerville professionals

Somerville business owners have at least a few events for which they should consider putting in an appearance, with a workshop and a networking event taking place during the next few weeks.
It all begins this Thursday, June 28, with Business Valuation’s latest seminar. Starting in the morning at 8:30 am and expected to last for about an hour afterwards, this will be packing a lot of content into a relatively short time frame. As the subtitle “Components, Drivers & Strategies for Business Owners” would suggest, representatives from the Financial Special Interests Group will be addressing such topics as the reasons why it’s important to know a company’s worth, as well as the process of making an accurate appraisal.
Where the printing services of local print companies should prove valuable is to those who are participating in the “Opportunity Knocks! Business Card Exchange” on July 10. Starting at 5:00 pm and wrapping up at 6:30 pm, this is an excellent opportunity to connect with a number of potential clients and business partners. Taking place at the United States Golf Association, this event is expected to include food and prizes for those in attendance. Sitting at a cost of $20 for members at the door, $30 for guests, and $60 for members who wish to use display tables, this is a solid chance to do some networking.
Another event to note is the Raritan Valley Community College’s 9th Annual Golf Classic. Being held July 16 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm, this is a good chance to get out and enjoy the great weather.
