Somerville back in the hunt for treasure

April 24, 2013 by

The 2nd Annual Somerville Treasure Hunt is being hosted by the Somerville Business and Professional Association (SBPA) this weekend.

During the treasure hunt, guests will match clues with the correct store located on the provided treasure map, which is probably being produced with the help of local print companies right now.

People attending will be able to pick their maps up from the SBPA’s tent, which will be located in front of Sanford Jewelers at midday. As participants match up clues with the right store, they will collect rewards, which are being offered by each store up and down the main street of the downtown core.

Each time the correct store is located, guests only need to walk into the store and ask for a signature on their map. Once this is obtained, the store will provide the treasure and many of the restaurants involved are cooking up some delicious treats. Store owners will be providing coupon discounts, baubles, and trinkets for all. This should be a great event for the whole family.

A free event to take part in, it is designed to let people discover the various stores in the downtown core. The 2nd Annual Somerville Treasure Hunt will be happening this Saturday, April 27, from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm starting at the SBPA tent outside Sanford Jewelers located at 92 West Main Street in Somerville, New Jersey.
