Five-star pop-punk a Friday treat
January 24, 2014 by James
This evening, fans of hardcore and pop-punk can make the trip into New York to see Beantown-based five-piece A Loss For Words rock the night.
The group is made up of Matt Arsenault as lead singer, Nevada Smith and Marc Dangor on guitar, Mike Adams on bass, and Jack McHugh on drums. The group has a driving collection of songs that combine melodic hardcore with punk and pop. A guitar heavy selection, this is counterbalanced by a healthy dose of melody in the background.
In 2009, the group released ‘Motown Classics’, an album filled with punk takes on classic Motown songs, including ‘My Girl’ by the Temptations, and ‘Tears of a Clown’ by Smokey Robinson. During this period the band gained a strong following while touring throughout the United States and Canada, as well as throughout the United Kingdom and Europe. They even completed a tour of Japan, which was self-booked. In 2011, the band released ‘No Sanctuary’ and made it big on the Billboard Heatseekers chart.
Tickets prices for this performance vary depending on seating. A Loss for Words will be making an appearance this evening, January 24, at The Main Street Armory located at 900 East Main Street in Rochester, New York, just down the road from Secaucus, New Jersey. To find out more about this event or to purchase tickets, please visit The Main Street Armory’s website or call the box office. Doors open at 5:30 pm, and no doubt keen fans of the group will be hopeful that poster printing has been sought by those responsible for merchandise.
