Exciting Christmas Saturday coming up in Secaucus
November 27, 2012 by James
The Christmas Bazaar, Christmas Parade, and Christmas Tree Lighting celebration organizers would like to invite families, including children of all ages, to come to the Plaza Center and enjoy traditional holiday music and shopping, followed by the evening Santa Claus parade and Christmas Tree Lighting.
At the 2nd Annual Christmas Bazaar, families will have the opportunity to browse and shop for many holiday gift-giving ideas at the community’s Recreation Center between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm. At this bazaar, there will be a number of handcrafted quality items and many vendors with assorted holiday items available for purchase. With a big crowd likely, vendors may want to arrange for some business card printing so that they can get their name out to the public.
Then, at 7:00 pm, all families are invited to join other parade goers along the 3rd Annual Christmas Parade route to help welcome in Mr. and Mrs. Claus. The parade will have floats, bands, marchers, and many special features and is sure to be enjoyed by all. After the Santa Claus parade, at the Plaza Center, families can attend the 17th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony and enjoy holiday music by school choirs, carriage rides, snacks, hot chocolate, a petting zoo, and hot coffee to keep the evening chill away.
Admission is free for this event, and parking is available on streets and in parking lots. The Christmas Bazaar, Christmas Parade, and Christmas Tree Lighting celebrations will be hosted on Saturday, December 1, starting at 11:00 am at the Recreation Center located at 1200 Koelle Boulevard in Secaucus, New Jersey. For additional information or the parade route, please visit the Recreation Department’s website or call the office during business hours.
