Young professionals given summit to look forward to

October 29, 2013 by

The 2013 Young Professionals Summit, hosted by the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce, is taking place in just a few days in Plainsboro. The summit is aimed at those young professionals who are driven, ambitious, and striving to be leaders in their field.

The event is set to feature a keynote speech from Mathieu Nelessen of the American Red Cross, along with panel discussions and breakout sessions. One panel likely to be of interest will be ‘Working with Management’, hosted by Peg Forrestel and Bill Voltmer.

Topics of the breakout sessions will include ‘Making a left turn: revolutionizing your career’ led by Will Smith of the Trenton Thunder, ‘Power networking tools’ with Eileen Sinett, and ‘Managing your online reputation’ by Deborah Smith. All of these are designed to provide young professionals with an understanding of the basics of doing business in the 21st Century.

Sponsorship are available for the summit from $750 – $3,500. It is probably that many area businesses who have an interest in training those who might one day be running companies of their own will want to support such an event.

Those attracted to the summit will probably come from all over the area, including nearby Cranbury. This will no doubt include those who work in various types of industries, such as graphic design agencies and print companies.

The Young Professionals Summit is taking place at the Crowne Plaza Princeton on Friday, November 1, from 8:00 am – 11:45 am. Tickets are $49 for Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce members or $69 for non-members. To find out more about the summit, or to become a sponsor, call 609-924-1776.
