Weekend of wellness ahead

November 11, 2012 by

With our aging population, more people want to live healthier and longer lives during which they remain independent. One way to remain independent as we age is to take start taking care of our bodies when we are younger. With that in mind, wellness events seem to be occurring more and more frequently throughout the United States, and an important one is coming up later this month.

Heart to Hearts, Inc. is an organization dedicated to educating women and their families on how to stay well. On November 17, the organization will be presenting the 9th annual Women’s Wellness Day at the Educational Testing Services in Princeton from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm. Tickets are $70 for adults and $55 for seniors and Heart to Hearts members, with breakfast and lunch included in the price.

The theme of Women’s Wellness Day is ‘Passages in Caregiving: Lightening the Load’. The keynote speaker will be author Gail Sheehy, best known for her book ‘Passages’. The day will also feature speakers in eight breakfast sessions, free health screenings, a chair massage, Reiki, community and health information, chances to “ask the doctors”, door prizes, raffles, and 32 vendors. The event is sure to draw people from all over the area, including nearby Cranbury. No doubt those wanting to provide health information for people to take home will be using services such as flyer printing and brochure printing from local printing companies.
