Upcoming craft fair has focus on folk art

December 29, 2013 by

The Edison Country Folk Art Craft Show is taking place in Edison for three days in just under a month’s time. It is a presentation of Country Folk Art Shows.

The show will give area artists and crafters a chance to showcase their artworks to the general public and to possibly discover a new regular client to whom they can regularly sell their creations. Everything on display by artisans must be handmade and created by the artists themselves; this will include furniture, textiles, paintings, prints, pottery, jewelry, and even gourmet food.

Commercial companies will also be allowed to sell artworks; the difference being that they do not have to have been created by the seller. The organizers of this event are currently looking for more artisans to take part in this show. Booth prices for artisans range from $380 to $1,520 and between $500 and $2,000 for commercial local companies.

Artisans will likely travel to this show from all over the area, including nearby Cranbury. Often, local printing companies are asked to provide services such as booklet and flyer printing. These items can then easily be quickly distributed in the community to ensure plenty of people know what is happening.

The Edison Country Folk Art Craft Show is taking place at the New Jersey Convention Center from January 24 to 26. Admission is $8 and is valid for all three days, since visitors will have their hands stamped to allow for re-admission.
