Upcoming conference to encourage women in business

The 2nd annual Women’s Leadership Conference is taking place in Princeton in a few weeks, and is a presentation of the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce.

The aim of the conference will be to help women become better leaders and therefore be more successful in their business dealings. It will feature keynote speakers such as Virginia Long, a former justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court, and Teena Cahill, a writer and humorist.

There will be panel discussions on topics such as ‘Successful Women Think Differently’, workshops and plenty of networking opportunities. At last year’s inaugural conference there were several breakout sessions, a breakfast, and a luncheon. If repeated this year, these will allow attendees plenty of time to talk business and grow their referral networks with their fellow businesswomen.

Sponsorships are also available from $400 up to $6,000, and sponsors will be allowed to set up an exhibitor table to showcase their products and services. It is likely that many of those who plan to sponsor the event will come from all over the chamber’s area, including Cranbury. They will probably be investing in services such as flyer printing to let their current customers know they are taking part in the conference.

The 2013 Women’s Leadership Conference will take place at the Princeton Marriott Hotel and Conference Center on October 17 from 8:00 am – 1:30 pm. Tickets are $75 for chamber members and $90 for non-members. Call 609-924-1776 for more information.
