Middlesex County keeps abreast of employment law

January 13, 2013 by

To help small business keep up with the fast-moving world of employment law, the Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce holds regular summits to update its members and other local business owners on changes to those laws and standards – one of which is coming up later this month.

The Winter Summit Event will present three HR experts who will share their knowledge of what the latest changes to the law and to workplace standards are. The featured speakers for this event will be attorney Ron Sgambati, HR Director Joan Kampo, and Kevin Carroll of St. Peter’s University Hospital. Those attending will find out the latest updates to employment law and standards from local, state, and national governments.

This event may also be an excellent networking opportunity for area businesspersons from all over Middlesex County, such as nearby Cranbury. Many of those attending the summit are likely to be arranging for business card printing before the event. By ensuring that all of their details are up-to-date, cards are in good shape, and in plentiful supply to hand out to business peers at the summit, they should have solid networking foundations to build upon as 2013 progresses.

The Winter Summit Event will take place at the Rutgers University Inn and Conference Center in New Brunswick on January 25 from 8:30 am – 10:30 am. Tickets are free to Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce members or $10 for non-members. For more information, call Alex Hollywood at 792-745-8090.
