Mercer County foundation to raise money for student scholarships

The annual Mercer County Community College Foundation fundraising event is scheduled to take place in early April. Hundreds of scholarships are provided for Mercer County area students thanks to the foundation and its fundraising efforts.

The theme of this year’s event is ‘Spring into Student Success’. It will feature a silent auction, musical entertainment provided by Mercer County Community College students, hors d’oeuvres, coffee, desserts, and a full open bar. Three area businesses will also be honored during an awards ceremony for their contributions to the foundation, the College, and the community. Scholarships will be awarded to deserving Mercer County students during the evening, and guests will also have plenty of time to talk to and to network with their fellow businesspersons and Mercer County students during the evening.

Local businesses are also being asked to donate items for the silent auction. Many of them will very likely be availing themselves of such services as flyer printing to let their current customers from the area, including nearby Cranbury, know about the event and about their participation. Business card printing in advance will also be a worthwhile activity, ensuring that nobody suffers the embarrassment of not having any cards to give out to interested parties.

‘Spring into Student Success’ will take place at Mercer Oaks Catering in Princeton Junction on April 4 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Tickets are $115 each or $215 for two. Those requiring more information can call Charlene Dow Edwards at 609-570-3659.
