Morris County Chamber boasts varied calendar

August 14, 2012 by

Over the course of the next few weeks, members of the Morris County Chamber of Commerce will have a balanced set of events to enjoy, with two networking meet-ups and a public speaking seminar coming up this month.

As a starting point, the Health & Wellness Committee will be hosting ‘Walk & Talk’ tomorrow, August 15. Being organized with the intention of giving business owners yet more opportunities to connect with one another, the emphasis of this get-together will be the ways in which chamber members can use the resources around them to actively pursue a healthy lifestyle. Although the registration deadline has passed, there will probably be future events for which to consider signing up.

With “Business Connections” being hosted just two days after Walk & Talk, Morristown professionals may want to think about keeping the contact information of a local print company handy. Starting in the morning at 7:30 am on August 17, this is being held not too far away at Mountain Lakes. Between the additional opportunities to meet other decision-makers and the interesting conversation going on besides, business owners stand to gain quite a bit from attending this meet-up as well.

Although public speaking is not always a requirement for business owners, the ability to communicate effectively is a skill that transcends industry and medium. Whether an individual’s selecting phrases for that flyer printing campaign or guest speaking elsewhere, this workshop will equip attendees with the tools they need. Set at a price of $20 for members and $40 for guests, the costs should not cause too many complaints here either.
