Plus-sized bridal boutique opens in Manalapan

The Curvy Bride, a bridal boutique for plus-sized women, has officially opened its doors in Manalapan in the Towne Pointe Shopping Center. No doubt the boutique has been using banner printing services across the front of the shop to let larger-size women become aware of the shop.

Michelle Files, the owner of Curvy Bride and a resident of the town, tells the story on the store’s website that she found many designer wedding gowns are not offered in plus sizes after her own fruitless efforts to find a suitable wedding gown to fit her, and so decided to serve a market in need of such gowns. Her current selection of wedding gowns covers sizes 18 through 32W and, in the future, she plans to sell special occasion and mother of the bride dresses in sizes 18 through 30 as well.

Files added that the shop is the first in the tri-state area to sell plus-sized wedding gowns and many of her customers have traveled from New York and Pennsylvania to make their purchases.

The Curvy Bride is open during the day, on weekends, and during the evening hours for the convenience of its patrons. Customers can make appointments or be served on a walk-in basis. All the areas have private seating and refreshments are served.

The shop also provides its visitors with a guide on how to buy a bridal gown and a budget for planning a wedding. It also has a newsletter for which customers can sign up.
