September 12, 2013 by Mark
The Hohokus Inn and Tavern recently announced several wine, craft beer, and culinary events for the month of September. No doubt the Inn is using flyer printing to make customers aware of these attraction and encourage as many people as possible to visit the Inn.
On Wednesday, September 18th, beginning at 6:30 p.m. the Inn will present one of its offerings in its wine education series at the town library. This one will feature wines with a Hollywood theme, such as Marilyn Merlot, Francis Ford Coppola’s Director’s Cut Pinot Noir, and Fess Parker Chardonnay. The event will also include complimentary hors d’oeuvres.
The following day, beginning at 7:00 pm, ‘Murder at the Hohokus Inn and Tavern’ will be presented. Those who come to this event will dine on a multi-course meal prepared by the Inn’s chefs while taking part in a comedy-mystery. The story will consist of a food company involved in embezzlement, chefs who like to play with knives, and many other characters of a questionable nature.
Finally, between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 25, Brooklyn Brewery and Edible Jersey magazine will host their quarterly tasting event, followed by a four course dinner. Brews to be sampled will include Cuvee La Boite (the Brewery’s latest beer), Brooklyn Oktoberfest, Brooklyn Pilsner, and Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout. Attendees will also receive the latest issue of Edible Jersey. Each course in the dinner will be accompanied by one of the beers presented in the tasting event.
