Get sporty with golf and basketball this month

Due to the fact that both events are being held in Paramus, Hohokus residents have at least a couple of choices available to them this month. Whether hoping to play a few rounds in support of a great cause or instead aiming to polish up those basketball skills, the chance to stay active while enjoying the great weather is something to which people can always look forward.

In an effort to raise more funds towards curing Type 1 Diabetes, JDRF will be hosting the 12th Annual Jonathan P. Altman Golf Classic on July 16. Being hosted at the prestigious Ridgewood Country Club, it is immediately clear that there are a number of compelling reasons to participate in this event.

Starting off fairly bright and early, with registration and breakfast beginning at 10:30 am and the tournament itself beginning at 12:30 pm, individuals stand to gain quite a bit from making an effort to arrive early. As is par for the course at most of these tournaments, local brochure printers are sure to be busy producing the flyer printing and poster printing that will no doubt be needed beforehand.

A full five days later, on July 21, the Harlem Globetrotters will be hosting a Summer Skills Clinic. For those who are looking to show off their moves on the basketball court, this is a legitimate chance to learn how the Globetrotters do it. Taking place at 24 Hour Fitness from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, those who are happy to make the trip to Paramus can put in an appearance here as well.
