New Pop-Up store to emerge in Highland Park

February 12, 2014 by

Highland Park will have the distinct honor of hosting the 2nd NJ350 Pop Up store this month—following the first one setting up camp in Red Bank.

Pop Up stores are a concept devised by Main Street New Jersey, the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, and the New Jersey Historical Commission. A site is chosen to serve as a “store” for short periods of time to sell New Jersey promotional materials. The purpose is to promote the unique history of the state and its unique citizenry, and hopefully to attract tourists. NJ350 is an organization that has been created by the state to celebrate the 350th anniversary of New Jersey’s existence.

All citizens of Highland Park are invited to visit the Pop Up store, which will be held at Main Street Highland Park. Visitors will find merchandise specifically dedicated to promoting the state, such as hats, board games, books, and educational items. Many may wish to contract with printing companies for poster or flyer printing to promote the event. Organizers promise an exciting event that will give local residents an opportunity to meet up with their neighbors while promoting their state.

The Highland Park NJ350 Pop Up Store will be held at Main Street Highland Park, 212 Raritan Avenue, Highland Park, NJ, Wednesday February 12 through Sunday February 16, from 12:00 pm to 7:30 pm each day.
